Michigan Conservation Project Suggestions
Objective: Promote the use of good conservation practices.
Program: Lean about recycling programs in your area and encourage
members and their families to use them.
This coloring book was prepared by the
Michigan Legislature.
The information is provided free to Michigan
citizens and is not for reproduction for resale
or profit.
Suggestions:
1. Research how long it takes for materials such as
glass, aluminum, and rubber to naturally decompose
and see why it is important for us to recycle these
materials.
2. Raise funds for your society by recycling aluminum
cans and other recyclables.
3. Adopt a highway or river in your area as an ongoing
project and remember to properly recycle the trash you
pick up.
4. Tour a wast water or paper mill to see how this helps
the environment.
